It’s back to school season! To celebrate, we wanted to revisit one of our past K-12 projects, the La Cañada Unified School District La Cañada High School Modernization! We worked with the architect and district closely to provide ASCE 41 Tier 1 and Tier 2 evaluations and phased voluntary retrofits on the campus.

This photo shows a renovation of the guardrails, made to be ADA-compliant – an example of engineering working hand-in-hand with architecture to incorporate modern design while staying true to the architect of record’s elegant 1960s concrete design.
