An expert in educational projects at the K-12, community college, and university level, Satish Matani has completed hundreds of DSA-regulated projects during his 45+ year tenure with JAMA. Satish approaches every project with an understanding of the collaborative nature of design, the technical requirements of California’s strict regulations, and a sensibility towards efficient construction. Satish shares this knowledge firmwide via his work on project teams, as an open resource for younger engineers, and contributing to the firm’s internal technical resource database, offering materials, references, and research to support ever-improving processes and procedures. He has worked on a host of projects that demonstrate his expertise in a wide range of materials and requirements, from the Orange County Performing Arts Center to the Palomar Planetarium to the Adlabs Studio in Mumbai.
