Project Manager – Phoenix

Full-time position

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team in the Phoenix Office. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in structural analysis and design. A proven track record in overseeing plan check and construction phases is essential. Candidates should have exceptional problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

In this role, you will lead projects from concept through construction, ensuring regulatory compliance at every stage. Responsibilities include structural analysis, design, and specifications. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and agency officials, managing project timelines and budgets, and providing expert guidance on regulatory procedures. You will play a key role in ensuring project success by adhering to applicable codes, standards, and client expectations while fostering strong relationships with all project stakeholders.

 

Minimum requirements:

  • Licensed SE in Arizona; California licensure is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with small to mid-sized buildings, including new construction, renovations, and seismic upgrades is a plus.
  • Expertise in detailing various structural systems, including gravity and lateral framing.
  • Proficient in industry software such as ETABS, SAFE, RAM, and RISA.
  • In-depth knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 341, AISC 358, NDS/SDPWS, and TMS 402; knowledge of ASCE 41 and CBC is a plus.
  • Experienced in Construction Administration.
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience in Nonlinear Seismic Analysis, Performance-Based Design, Base Isolation, Energy Dissipation Devices, Forensic Investigations and Damage Assessments, Historic Renovations, Blast Design, HAZUS/SPC-4D, and Peer Review/Plan Check.
