JAMA attended the Edes Gallery opening and we admired the impressive artwork and mass timber construction alike! The grand opening included a T-shirt printing workshop for kids, screen printing on tote bags and live artist demonstrations throughout the space.
The gallery features two floors of art exhibition space with works by more than 40 artists, with rotating walls allowing for flexible gallery. JAMA provided the structural system of Masonry shear wall and mass timber gravity framing (CLT slabs and Glulam beams and columns). The exposed mass timber structural system brings warm color to the space and complements the artwork.
Congratulations to KTGY and the project team on the completion of this beautiful structure!
