Peer Review
JAMA's first priority when peer reviewing is to deliver a complete, thorough, examination of the project. While appropriately communicating and collaborating with the design engineer, our peer review approach provides assessment for early identification of project parameters, criteria, constraints, and critical issues which allow the project goals to be met. We communicate our concerns and comments to our client and the design engineer through a variety of methods suitable to achieve resolution of all items within the specified schedule. Methods of communication involve detailed markups of drawings and calculations, comment summary logs with appropriate drawing / calculation references, multiple review meetings with the design engineer, and review of updated drawings, calculations and analysis. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, and the items of concern, JAMA is structured to issue in-progress partial comment lists. These partial lists allow the design engineer to begin addressing the major items while JAMA continues to review the project for other issues which serves to reduce the overall review process schedule significantly.
