Probabilistic hazard analysis methods can be utilized to establish multi-level design criteria for an improved total assessment of structural reliability. In addition, a climatological study can be performed to obtain statistics on more frequent wind speeds and directions.
No 50-year wind load is required; however, it may be useful for preliminary design calibration and as necessary for code-compliance documentation.
