Completed in 2011, the New Terminal project at Santa Barbara Airport is part of a multi-phased project to update the airports aging facilities and offer more sustainable, secure facilities. The Terminal project included construction of a new 67,000 square foot, 2-story structure that Integrated the airport’s original 1942 terminal. By nearly tripling the overall space for passengers, the terminal offers a larger ticketing lobby, enhanced baggage handling operations, additional passenger loading bridges, food and retail amenities, and additional service enhancements. The project is LEED Gold certified.
