JAMA Selected for HATCH at Bioscience Corridor Project

JAMA Engineers are hard at work on Schematic Design for the HATCH project, a flexible, multi-tenant lab and office space for emerging bioscience and tech companies. The project, designed in collaboration with BAM Architecture Studio, includes the adaptive reuse and conversion of an 80-year old, 22,000 square foot wooden bow truss factory and warehouse north of Downtown Los Angeles in the newly created Bioscience Corridor. The future workspace will provide multi-tenant offices, conference rooms, shared amenities, and parking to create a work and community environment for smaller companies to grow beyond start-ups. Individual tenant spaces will offer a combination of wet lab (fixed lab benches with sinks) and dry lab (scientist workstations and offices) facilities with access to a shared auditorium for presentations and seminars.
