JAMA is excited to help celebrate the American Institute of Steel Construction’s Steel Day on Friday, September 19th. The annual event is a way to bring awareness to the benefits and design possibilities of structural steel. JAMA often uses steel as a preferred structural system for complex and large-scale projects: it is faster to erect and in most cases more cost effective than its concrete counterparts. It also offers a high degree of design flexibility. JAMA showcased this most famously through its structural design of the Disney Concert Hall by Frank Gehry.
We look forward to participating in some of this year’s local Steel Day events (jobsite tours; tours of milling and fabricating facilities, and webinars), and continuing to evolve our work with structural steel in more innovative and unique structures.
