Firm's History

 

Founded in 1953, John A. Martin & Associates, Inc. (JAMA) is internationally acknowledged to be on the cutting edge of structural and seismic engineering design and consulting. JAMA, in conjunction with the corporate headquarters branch of Martin Associates Group, Inc., is located in Los Angeles, California. The corporation's network includes 15 offices throughout the United States. JAMA's extensive portfolio of work reflects its significant contribution to the nation's built environment, completing structural and civil designs for an annual average of 60 million square feet of new construction worldwide; as well as the firm's well deserved reputation for providing the highest quality structural and civil engineering services.

The firm's highly respected staff of more than 400 maintains professional structural and civil engineering registrations in all 50 states, as well as Puerto Rico, Great Britain and Guam. These personnel are selected not only for their fine technical abilities, but also for their willingness to participate in the collaborative process necessary for a successful project. Team commitment strategy is strong in the Martin organization. The firm utilizes partnering philosophies and creating teaming to focus its diverse talents into strategic alliances with its clients.
